It took 8 hours of journey due to the horrible jams to reach hometown for the most important celebration of the year, Chinese New Year but it was all worth it as the celebration went well for the next 15 days with family reunion dinners, house hopping, yeeshang and endless of excuses of cookies munching! I had 4 family reunion dinners and 5 yeeshang in total excluded CNY cookies and drinks that I had during the festival session too. Guess its about time to head the gym and get rid of all these fats!

Up all night, got demon to fight

Times flies with a blink of eye. Wasn't it New Year's Eve yesterday but we're done with January now. At time, I wish I could change the past but it comes a point when I think my present and future are more important than my past because life is just too short to live in the sadness. If I were to spend life regretting things in the past, before I know it, I'd have wasted my life on it. I believe everything happens for a reason, nothing happens by chance or by means of luck. It may seem horrible, painful and unfair but in reflection, one realizes that without overcoming those obstacles, we would never realize our potential, strength, will power or heart.

NYE: Bid farewell to 2011 and welcome 2012

After partied for few times at Vertigo, The Gardens, the happening club has finally official launched on January. I decided to tag along with bloggers for the grand launch at the last minute. The night was jam packed with awesome performances by A-ROX, DJ Nichole Chen & Terry T whom hypered up the crowd, of course, free flow was served on that night as well! I didnt manage to stay long at Vertigo and I heard the night went even better after past 12am. Anyhow, I'll still able to experience the happening night next time since the club is now ready to is set to spin party people's senses and inspire with its champagne nights, themed parties, DVJ sets, visual installations, among others.

I have been sitting in front of the laptop and thinking what should I post to keep my blog alive. It isnt easy for me to express my feeling out on my blog nowadays because I have to protect myself from people through not writing personal things anymore. Obviously, I have lost my first intention about blogging, it was supposed to be personal journal that remind me about the joys and sorrows of my life. A part of me is long gone and I doubt I'll find back the person any soon. Of course I’ve changed. We all change. We all grow up, grow wiser, grow distant from the things we never thought we would. We all learn to laugh a little more and cry a little more and be a little more silly. I have changed, and I will always be changing. For the better or worse, is a matter of perception. Speaking about changes, I have gotten a new hair cut for upcoming CNY celebration as well. I'm loving my bangs since it has been years that I changed my hairstyle. Do you guys know that cutting off hair in ancient modern Asia means to forget the past, leaving the old and starting new? Wells, I think that changes breeds new start. If we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living. Other than that, I have spent days on cleaning, organizing, and rearranging my room, it was surely the right timing for spring cleaning. It cleaned off my mind as I felt much better after the major spring cleaning, it is like a whole lot of bad energy left with it as well. Guess I'm pretty much ready for CNY, the only thing I'm looking forward to is family togetherness because I believe that friends may come and go but family is a forever bond.

Hennessy Privilege Collection NyX launch party

While we were in the midst of the jolly season, Hennessy was not one to be left behind! The world-famous cognac company held an exclusive free-flow event as launch party at a secret location which was Vertigo Club, The Gardens Mall.

I was not surprised when brand ambassadors ushered all of us to Vertigo club after registration at MidValley because Vertigo is by far, the only club that I know comes with custom design of LED dance floor, led wall & led ceiling to make all surfaces look the same. On the other hand, the limited edition cognac Hennessy Privilege NyX Collector bottle looks modern with platinum, glass, metallic and purple elements. The logo and label are only visible under black that looks like a night with a lot of stars in the sky which obviously designed for the perfect lounge-slash-clubbing tipple. So I think the lighting effects at Vertigo Club definitely went well along with Hennessy NyX party! The club was crazily packed by 9pm which I personally think that the space of Vertigo was too small for a free-flow event but of course, it didn't kill our joy. Not to mention that DJ Blink heated the venue for the night with awesome spinning. it made the whole event even better!

It’s funny as we’re always so excited for the New Year because 'oh, it’ll bring an awesome new beginning!' but most of the time when December comes around we’re all tired and looking back on the year thinking 'How did I survive?’. Since the year is almost over, which is less than 24 hours to a brand new year, I figured it is the time to take a step back and look at my fencing in the year of 2011. There is so much I want to write about, a lot of things have happened in this year. This year has been a long and crazy ride with its ups and downs or highs and lows. Despite being blessed with awesome people, I still faced different challenges, situations and people which almost made me to give up on trying or solving those problems because it pushed me to my limit yet I managed to make it through which has opened more doors than I saw shut. I experienced new beginnings, happy or sad endings, achievements, low misfortunes, interesting encounters and priceless moments which certainly taught me so much about life lessons, gave me new perspectives and also allowed myself to be a better and mature person. Next year, 2012 holds a year of uncertainty. I'm surely excited, nervous, anticipation and suspense make me even more worry about the future; I'll still be holding it all together and make it as another awesome year.

Happy early 2012, let's make the brand new year a positive one by spending it wisely!

Lastly. remember to get your New Year's Eve kiss at the stroke of the midnight tonight as your great ending to 2011 and have an amazing beginning for 2012!
